LEAVE OF ABSENCE - BOHDAN SCHMANKO
WHEREAS, on March 6. 1995, Bohdan Schmanko was appointed a Police Officer;
and
WHEREAS, due to physical limitations, Mr. Schmanko has been unable to
complete the certified academy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret does hereby grant a Leave of Absence to Mr. Bohdan Schmanko
contingent to his entering into the attached agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said leave shall extend until the next enrollment
date in a certified academy that the Borough has reserved space.
Adopted this 23rd day of October, 1995
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 24, 1995.

I, Bohdan Schmanko, do hereby accept a Leave of Absence without pay and without
benefits. I acknowledge that if I wish to continue my health care coverage, I may
do so at my own costs.
I further acknowledge that this Leave of Absence shall extend until the next available
Police Academy in which the Borough secures availability.
It is further acknowledged that if I am not physically able to attend or complete the
next academy in which I am enrolled, I waive all defenses as to a dismissal from the
position of Police Officer within the Borough of Carteret.
