AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS 8B, 8G, & 8I
WHEREAS, The Drees Company, the developer of Potomac Station Sections 8B, 8G, & 81
has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved construction
drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the contract for public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds fi.om the American Motorists Insurance Company in the
amount of $92,940.00 for Section 8B; in the amount of $536,669.00 for Section 8G; and in the
amount of $411,133.00 for Section 81 were provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of
public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to April 6, 2005 for Section 8B; May 17, 2005 for Section 8G; and March 26, 2005 for
Section 81.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds fi.om the American Motorists Insurance Company
in the amounts listed above are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in
Potomac Station Sections 8B, 8G, and 81.

SECTION II. The time extension to April 6, 2005 for Section 8B; May 17, 2005 for Section
8G; and March 26, 2005 for Section 81 for completion of the public improvements are approved.
