A RESOLUTION: ENDORSING THE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY
COMMISSION'S PROPOSAL TO DEVELOP A WATERSHED
MANAGEMENT PLANNING INITIATIVE
WHEREAS, the Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) has recommended
that Council endorse the EAC's request to continue its study of watershed management
planning in order to facilitate the promulgation of a program for the town; and
WHEREAS, staff finds the request timely because of its relevance to the ongoing
town plan revision and the requirements of the town's Virginia Pollutant Discharge
Elimination System permit.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
The Environmental Advisory Commission is directed to continue its research of
the watershed management planning approach to water resources management with the
.goal of developing a recommendation for the Council that is in harmony with the
recommendations of the new town plan and the Town of Leesburg, VPDES Phase II
Stormwater Management Plan.
