HomeMy Public PortalAbout2004_05_25_r085The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED May 25, 2004 RESOLUTION NO. 2004-85 ADOPTED May 25, 2004 A RESOLUTION: ENCOURAGING LOUDOUN COUNTY TO INITIATE A LONG- RANGE PLANNING EFFORT TO ADDRESS FUTURE NEEDS FOR HOSPITAL SITES IN THE COUNTY GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, healthcare is one of the most important issues of our time; and WHEREAS, Loudoun County is the fastest growing county in the country; and WHEREAS, growth pressures of rapid development create an imbalance between population growth and the ability to deliver high-quality healthcare services; and WHEREAS, as growth continues in Loudoun, it will become increasingly more difficult to find and acquire sites for hospitals that are of sufficient size, appropriately located and compatible with surrounding uses. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: That the county initiate a long-range planning effort to address future needs for hospital sites in the Loudoun County General Plan.
