AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES FOR
EDWARDS LANDING PHASE 2B AND PHASE 4

SECTION H.
completion of the public improvements are approved.

WHEREAS, Edwards Landing, LLC, the developer of Edwards Landing Phase 2B and Phase 4 has not
completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved construction drawings and
town standards within the two-year p~od agreed to in the contract for public improvements; and
WHEREAS, tho developer has requested a time extension to complete the public improvements; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds from The Continental Insurance Company in the amount of
$174,750.00 for Phase 2B; and in the amount of $150,140.00 for Phase 4 were provided by the developer to
guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time extension to
May 7, 2005 for Phase 2B and Phase 4.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council ofthe Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from The Contin~al Insurance Company in the amounts
listed above are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Edwards Landing Phase 2B
