AUTHORIZING A RENEWABLE UNIT PRICE CONTRACT WITH
AM-LINER EAST, INC., FOR SANITARY SEWER RELINING
PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the Utilities Funds Budget includes funding for a sewer relining project for
the town's Inflow/Infiltration Abatement program; and
WHEREAS, an invitation for bid was duly advertised and issued pursuant to state and
local procurement laws; and
WHEREAS, on May 25, 2004 the following unit price bids were received for year one
estimated quantities:
AM-Liner East, Inc.
Tri-State Utilities Co.
$248,518.50
$381,275.00
WHEREAS, this is a unit price contract and the final contract amount will be arrived at
by multiplying the bid unit price by the actual approved quantities in place; and
WHEREAS, the IF provided for up to 4 additional one-year renewals; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends awarding this renewable contract to
AM-Liner East Inc., for the relining projects in the amount of $248,518.50 for July 1, 2004 to
June 30, 2005.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute a renewable unit price contract in a form
approved by the Town Attorney with AM-Liner East, Inc., for the Sanitary Sewer Relining
project in the estimated amount of $248,518.50 and subsequent contracts consistent with this
contract award.
