AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A
GRANT FROM INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Drug & Crime Control Division, through its
Drug & Crime Division; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, through the Richmond Police Department, desires to submit
a grant application to pay for one (1) Digital Interview Recording system; and
WHEREAS, a ten percent (10%) local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, to pay for one (1) digital interview recording
system.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in
an amount up to Four Thousand Six Hundred Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($4,605.00).
3. The City of Richmond will provide a local match from the D.E.A. Asset Forfeitures
account in an amount up to Five Hundred Twelve Dollars and Zero Cents ($512.00) which is the
10% minimum local match required for said grant.
4. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to pay for one
(1) Digital Interview Recording system.
Passed and adopted this 3rd _ day of May 2010 by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
