RESOLUTION NO. 2004-149 ADOPTED September 14, 2004
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT JET-RODDER AND
SEWER VACUUM FOR UTILITY LINES DIVISION IN THE AMOUNT
OF $159,998.00
WHEREAS, the FY 2004 - 2008 Capital Improvement Program Utilities Funds Budget includes
funding for purchase of a replacement j et-rodder and sewer vacuum truck; and
WHEREAS, an invitation for bid was duly advertised and issued pursuant to the Virginia Public
Procurement Act by the City of Richmond, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the town has opted to ride this publicly bid contract with Atlantic Machinery; and
WHEREAS, the unit price for the new vehicle as bid is $226,483.00, and a purchase price of
$66,485 has been negotiated for the trade-in of the existing vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the net purchase price of $159,998.00 has been negotiated after the trade-in; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends purchase of this vehicle from Atlantic
Machinery in the amount of $159,998.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute a purchase order in the amount of $159,998.00 for the
purchase of a jet-rodder and sewer vacUum from Atlantic Machinery.
