RESOLUTION NO. 2004-151 ADOPTED September 14, 2004
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
AMERICAN HELICOPTERS, INC. AND THE TOWN OF LEESBURG FOR
THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, American Helicopters, Inc. has made application to the airport commission in order
to locate and operate a flight school business at the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the airport commission and town staff have determined that the company meets the
minimum standards for operating such business at the airport; and
WHEREAS, the company desires a formal relationship with the town; and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement satisfactory to both parties has been negotiated/'or space in the
terminal building; and
WHEREAS, the term of the lease is for five years; and
WHEREAS, the annual rent for 1,201 square feet at $25.04 per square foot per year is
$30,073.09; and
WHEREAS, the airport director and the airport commission recommend adoption of this
resolution.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
authorizes the Town Manager to execute the lease agreement by and between American Helicopters, Inc.
and the Town of Leesburg for the Leesburg Executive Airport in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
