A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
PIEDMONT-HAWTHORNE AVIATION AND THE TOWN OF LEESBURG
FOR THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Piedmont-Hawthorne Aviation has operated as the airport's only tull service fixed
base operator (FBO) for six years; and
WHEREAS; the company desires to lease additional space to house MedStar Medevac, a sub-
lease tenant; and
WHEREAS, the airport commission and town staff have determined that the company and sub
lease tenant meet the minimum standards for operating at the airport; and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement satisfactory to both parties has been negotiated for
temporary office trailer space; and
WHEREAS, the term of the lease is for one year; and
WHEREAS, the annual rent for 1,440 square feet at $4.71 per square foot per year is $6,778.00;
and
WHEREAS, the airport director and the airport commission recommend adoption of this
resolution.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
authorizes the Town Manager to execute the lease agreement by and between Piedmont-Hawthorne
Aviation and the Town of Leesburg for the Leesburg Executive Airport in a form acceptable to the Town
Attorney.
