APPROVING THE DOWNTOWN PARKING IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR
LEESBURG, VIRGINIA
WHEREAS, in October 2003, DESMAN Associates completed a Parking Management Study
for downtown Leesburg, and;
WHEREAS, the professional findings indicate that downtown Leesburg has adequate parking,
but needs to manage those parking resources more efficiently; and
WHEREAS, town staffhas developed a plan to implement the recommendations of the Parking
Management Study; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Economic Development Commission, the Leesburg Downtown
Business Association, and relevant town departments including police, recommend the plan as outlined..
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
approves the Downtown Parking Improvement Plan in its entirety and authorizes staff to begin
implementation.
