COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JANUARY 17, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of January 17, 2017, was convened at 5:48 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Schreiber, Ward,
and Wiseman
Absent: Prather
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
City Administrator introduced Interim Planning & Protective Services Director Sonny
Sanders.
Mr. Crowell explained that removing the compression factor as part of the issues
addressed on the classification and compensation ordinance at the January 3 meeting
would mean that compression becomes a larger issue.
Mr. Crowell also requested the Council to consider changing a date in that same
ordinance to allow funds authorized by the Council to begin being expended earlier than
the April date specified. City Counselor Moehlman stated th at it could be done by
another ordinance which could be brought to the Council at the February 6 meeting and
voted on with suspension of the rules.
