AMENDING THE FY 2005 GENERAL FUND AND CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND BUDGETS, AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS FOR
THE LEESBURG WAYFINDING SIGN SYSTEM PROJECT
WHEREAS, Council approved a way finding sign system for the town and approved
funding for the construction and installation of the first phase of the system as part of the FY 2004
Budget (Resolution 2004 -102); and
WHEREAS, staff was unable to encumber and carry over $20,803 of the total $97,803
needed to complete the project to the FY 2005 Budget; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the funds to complete the project are encumbered in the
Economic Development and Tourism Department budget and a portion ($52,000) in the Capital
Projects Fund; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the Council appropriate $20,803 from the General
Fund undesignated fund balance and transfer $25,000 from the Economic Development and
Tourism Department budget to the Capital Projects Fund.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
FY 2005 Budget is hereby amended as followed:
SECTION I: Funds in the amount of $20,803 are hereby appropriated from the General Fund
undesignated fund balance to the Capital Projects Fund wayfinding project.
SECTION II: Funds in the amount of $25,000 are hereby transferred from the Economic
Development and Tourism Department budget to the Capital Projects Fund wayfinding project.
