January 16, 2008
I. Call to order
Bob Miller called to order the regular meeting of the Town of Brewster: Building
Needs & Assessment Committee at 7:30pm on January 16, 2008 in Brewster
Town Hall.
II. Approval of minutes from last meetins
Bob Miller distributed the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were
approved as written.
III. Open issues
a} Council on Acing -Window replacement
- Varika? Construction is testing for lead paint & asbestos. Lead was found on
the sills. The windows will be removed & tested again; the cost to correct will
be decided.
b) Stonv Brook School
No update
c) Eddv School
No update
d) Town Hall -HVAC Replacement
Waiting on recommendations from Alternative Energy Committee.
e) HVAC -Golf Pavilion
The design documents are still lacking necessary detail. Jeff Tubman will
continue to work with the Golf Commission, Architect & involved parties
to obtain completed documents.
f) Band Stand /Gazebo -Drummer Boy Park
No progress
g) Fire Station
- Pre-bids are due 2/19. Selectmen's meeting is on the 22"d
- BNAC looking to establish a committee of 3 for this project.
b) Land for Tennis Courts. Ball Field & Basketball Courts
Will the new fire station need the surrounding area, currently occupied by the
recreational facilities? Space may be needed for parking, etc.
IV. New business
No new business was brought before the committee.
V. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35pm.
