Building Needs and Assessment Committee
April 16, 2008
I. Call to order
Bob Miller called to order the regular meeting of the Town of Brewster: Building
Needs and Assessment Committee at 7:30pm on April 16th, 2008 in Brewster
Town Hall.
II. Roll call
The following committee members were present: Bob Miller, Jeff Tubman, Herb
Montgomery, Paul Bradford and Rich Kosinski
III. Approval of minutes from last meeting
Bob distributed the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as
written.
IV. Open issues
a) Council on Aging
Window Replacement -Completed
The roof on the addition is leaking, and will be replaced with funds from
Friends of the Council on Aging. This is a group funded by private
donations and will not need to go before the town for approval. Estimates
of $6,400 have been received to repair the roof.
b) Eddy Sc6oo1
Current estimates aze in the 140k range for trim replacement.
Herb inquired if the extent of the projected repairs is really necessary. An
eyeballs estimate that only 10% of the trim actually needs replacement;
should this project be all encompassing; as we are proceeding?
c) Stony Brook School
... no update
d) Town Hall - HVAC Replacement
Checking to see if schematics have been received.
e) HVAC -Golf Pavilion
- Warren Daniels Architectural firm -sent contract, signed 3/26/08.
- Architectural documents due to Bob on 4/17.
f) Band Stand /Gazebo -Drummer Boy Park
... no update
g) Fire Station
BNAC Fire Station Sub-Committee is in the process of reviewing
proposals and limiting the number of architectural candidates to five; will
meet to discuss fiu~ther.
V. New business
No new business was brought before the committee.
