Renée LaFollette Named Director of Capital Projects for the
Town of Leesburg
Leesburg, VA (June 28, 2012) – Leesburg Town
Manager John Wells announced today that Renée
LaFollette has been named Director of Capital
Projects for the Town.
Ms. LaFollette has been serving as Acting Director
of Capital Projects since October 2011. In her
capacity as Director, Ms. LaFollette will be
responsible for the design and construction
management of all capital improvement projects
undertaken by the Town. The Town’s current six-
year Capital Improvements Program includes
thirty-four projects and a total budget of over $75
million.
Ms. LaFollette joined the Town of Leesburg in
November 2000 as a Senior Engineer in the Department of Engineering and Public Works, with
the Office of Capital Projects Management. In 2004, the office was separated into its own
department. She was promoted to Deputy Director of Capital Projects in December 2009. A
licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio and Virginia, Ms. LaFollette holds a Bachelor’s Degree in
Construction and Geotechnical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Town of Leesburg, Ms. LaFollette worked
for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
