AWARDING OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
CONTRACT FOR THE RUNWAY 17-35 REHABILITATION
AND MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT TO L.
ROBERT KIMBALL AND ASSOCIATES FOR $254,950
WHEREAS, the Runway 17-35 Rehabilitation and Miscellaneous Improvements
is fully funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Virginia
Department of Aviation (DOAV), and Town of Leesburg and administered by the town;
and
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2004 the Town Council approved
awarding the construction contract to Chemung Contracting Corporation; and
a resolution
WHEREAS, this project will require construction management and administration;
and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation
services the town received six consultant proposals; and
for construction management
WHEREAS, the top three rated firms were interviewed by the selection committee
and those firms are as follows:
· Delta Airport Consultants, Inc., of Richmond, Virginia
· L. Robert Kimball & Associates of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
· Campbell and Pads Engineers of Chantilly, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, L. Robert Kimball & Associates of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania was the
highest rated company by the selection committee; and

AND MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT TO L.
ROBERT KIMBALL AND ASSOCIATES FOR $254,950
WHEREAS, the negotiated fee for the construction management services for L.
Robert Kimball & Associates is $254,950.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ~n Virginia as
follows:
Section I. The construction management services contract fbr the Runway 17-35
Rehabilitation and Miscellaneous Improvements Project is hereby awarded to L. Robert
Kimball & Associates in the negotiated, not to exceed amount of $254,950.
Section II. The Town Manager is authorized to execute this contract.
