Call to order
Bob Miller called to order the regular meeting of the Town of Brewster: Building
Needs & Assessment Committee at 6:45 pm on June 12, 2008 in Brewster Town Hall.
Roll call
The following BNAC members were present: Bob Miller, Herb Montgomery, Paul
Bradford, Richard Kosinski, Ed Lewis and Charlie Sumner.
Interviews for the Fire & Rescue Station
KAESTLE BOOS Associates, Inc -Michael McKeon, presented a fire station program
document, which they use to help develop a program. They also often follow-up with a
meeting to help explain the program and gather further input. They also have good
experience in providing public relations services. They are a multi disciplinary firm.
LEED building issues, solar and ground source heat, energy conservation shills. They
mentioned that they use Robert Mitchell as a partner to evaluate programming matters.
Brown, Lindquist Fenuccio &Raber Architects, INC. -Kurt Raber, Significant
experience throughout the Cape and Southeastern Massachusetts, related to Fire Station
projects. They recently created a relationship with Stantee Consulting Services for this
project. Stantee has a fair amount of fire related experience which will be valuable.
The development of the building program will include involvement from the multitude
of players participating in the process. LEED technology discussions. Kurt Raber also
presented some brain storming ideas for station solutions.
