HomeMy Public PortalAboutBuilding & Needs Assessment -- 2008-07-09 Minutes~;~I ~~ °d Nf'~~ Building Needs & Assessment Committee July 9, 2008, 7:30 PM Call to order Bob Miller called to order the regular meeting of the Town of Brewster: Building Needs & Assessment Committee at 7:30 pm on July 9, 2008 in Brewster Town Hall. Roll call The following were present: Bob Miller, Herb Montgomery, Paul Bradford, Don Poole, Charles Sumner, Richard Kosinski, Greg Levasseur Minutes The minutes of May 14, 2008, June 11, 2008 at 8:30 am & 7:30 pm, June 12, & 18, 2008 were all approved with a couple corrections. Eddv School Bob Miller spoke to Alice Oberdof of ARKO Associates Architects and the project is going quite well. They will be doing most of the project with the exception of the gym area, which will be done in the fall of 2008. Charles Sumner will issue a change order to add the exterior trim painting, which will be funded via a separate school painting article. Drummer Boy Park A contract has been issued for the gift shop roof to a contractor. Work should begin shortly. Also Tom Thatcher will carry out a series of minor repairs to the Bandstand Structure. Fire Station Project The committee member reviewed the draft professional services contract developed by Charles Sumner, for the Fire Station Architectural Services Project. A significant number of corrections and additions were made to the document. Charles Sumner will amend and discuss with the Maguire Group. The Committee voted unanimously to approve the contract. Golf HVAC Bob Miller informed the committee that we decided to terminate the contract with Warren Daniels Architects for the Pavilion HVAC project. We were dissatisfied with the accuracy of the effort, communications and timeliness. Bob worked to obtain a proposal from ARKO Associates Architects in the amount of $11,000 for this project. The committee voted to support this proposal Charles Sumner will draw up a contract next week. Adjournment ~ ~: Z ~_~ 5 l ~J(1'd ~0. Bob Miller adjourned the meeting.
