MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 29, 2011
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on June 29, 2011 at 5:30
p.m. at the Medina City Hall, 2052 County Road 24, Medina, MN.
I. Call to Order
Members present: Pederson, Weir, Crosby, Siitari
Members absent: Martinson
Also present: Interim City Administrator Doug Reeder and Richard Fursman of
Brimeyer-Fursman, LLC
II. Meet with Executive Search Consultant regarding City Administrator
Position
Richard Fursman of Brimeyer-Fursman Executive Search Firm presented the City
Council with his report on the candidates he is recommending to the City Council for
their consideration. Council discussed the candidates and selected five candidates to be
interviewed on July 15th and July 16th
Mayor Crosby announced that he will call a special City Council meeting to be held on
July 15th at 12:00 p.m. and a special City Council meeting on July 16th at 7:45 a.m.
Mayor Crosby announced that the regular meeting on July 5th will not be held due to lack
of a quorum.
III. Authorize Payment of Bills
Weir moved, Pederson seconded, to authorize the Interim City Administrator and
Finance Director to approve the release of vendor payments on July 5, 2011. Motion
passed unanimously.
IV. Adjournment
Weir moved, Pederson seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 6: 35 p.m.
