PUBLIC HEARING FOR SPECIAL
TLSE-2004-0029 LOUDOUN COUNTY
WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of Council to support enhanced educational
opportunities for local students through the improvement of public school facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County School Board desires to expand the existing Loudoun
County High School through the addition of a new gymnasium and to renovate aspects of the
existing building and school grounds; and
WHEREAS, the proposed expansion of the existing Loudoun County High School building
will benefit the public through the provision of improved leaming and environmental conditions for
local students; and
WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice
justify the authorization of a joint public hearing in this case;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Pursuant to Chapter 22, Title 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, a notice that a
special exception application to expand the main Loudoun County High School building will be
considered jointly by the Leesburg Town Council and the Leesburg Planning Commission shall
be published in the Leesburg Today on February 18, 2005 and February 25, 2005 for a Joint
Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the Leesburg
Government Center at 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia, 20176.
