RESOLUTION NO. 2005-19 ADOPTED January 25, 2005
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING SPONSORSHIP OF THE SYMPOSIUM ON AGING TO BE
HELD BY SHENANDOAH UNIVERSITY ON MARCH 18-19, 2005
WHEREAS, the Town Council realizes that becoming politically active enables people to change
their environment for the better, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wants to help provide older adults, families and all town citizens
with strategies for political advocacy concerning aging issues; and
WHEREAS, Shenandoah University is seeking sponsorship for a Symposium on Aging in March
2005 to explore these issues.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is authorized and directed to spend $1,000 from the Town Manager's Contingency
Fund to sponsor the Symposium on Aging.
PASSED this 25th day of January_ 2005.
