The meeting is called to order at 7:02 pm on Tuesday 7 October 2008 by Larry Greeley.
Members present at this time are:

Tonight there is no person in the audience area.
There is a discussion of the state regulations conceming the Basic level of cable TV service and how those
regulations might interact with our negotiations with Comcast.
Nonnan Adams distributes copies of the draft minutes of the meeting of Tuesday 5 August 2008, as well
as copies of the approved and subsequently filed minutes of the meeting of Tuesday 3 June 2008.
A motion is made by Janet Husband and seconded by Lary Bugden to accept the minutes of the meeting
of Tuesday 5 August 2008 as presented. The vote to accept is unanimous.
Janet reports on the September 26 negotiation meeting with Comcast by the 5 town group (Brewster,
Eastham, Orleans, Truro, and Wellfleet).
There is a general discussion concerning the so far unsatisfying progress of the negotiations with Comcast by the 5
town group. The discussion includes several ideas of possible ways to advance the negotiations.
Larry Greeley reports on the development of a possible article for the upcoming fall town meeting. This article
concerns the Brewster government channel, and would relate to funding for the required equipment, operating
expenses, and so on.
There is no explicit discussion of the time, date, and place of the next meeting, which therefore will be at the usual
time, date, and place, to wit, at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of next month in this building.
The meeting seems to be out of other business to be taken up tonight. A motion to adjourn is made by
Walter Powers and seconded by Lary Bugden. The motion is passed unanimously. The meeting is
adjou ed at 8:13 pm.
