INITIATING CHANGES TO INCREASE THE VOTING
PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES FROM FOUR TO NINE
WHEREAS, the Electoral Board has suggested that Council consider changing
the voting precincts and polling places; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to increase the voting precincts and polling places
from four to nine, generally as shown on the attached map, in order to better reflect the
number of registered voters in each precinct and so that voters may vote in the same place
for all elections;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
SECTION I: The Electoral Board is requested to submit its written
recommendation on the proposed changes.
SECTION II: Upon receipt of that recommendation, staff shall initiate the
procedure to make those changes.
