A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER FOR ALPHA CORPORATION, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $42,023.20 ON THE EAST MARKET STREET WIDENING
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the town awarded the construction management and inspection contract for the East
Market Street Widening Project to Alpha Corporation on May 13, 2003 in the amount of $268,330.68; and
WHEREAS, due to the increased number of hours required on the project, the original contract
amount was exhausted; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate funding available in the Virginia Department of Transp°rtation
Regional Surface Transportation Funding (RSTP) allocation for this project; and
WHEREAS, no additional town funds are needed.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Town Manager is hereby authorized to approve and execute a change order for the contract with Alpha
Corporation in the amount of $42,023.20
