A RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY DESIGN STANDARDS SECTION 12 REGARDING
ROADWAY LIGHTING
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa desires to amend the City of Tiffin
Design Standards,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Council of Tiffin, Iowa, that it hereby
amends the City of Tiffin Design Standards by adding an item (12.06) to Section 12 to read as follows:
12.06 Within residential, commercial, and industrial subdivisions a specific type of light pole will be
required. Depending on which electric company district the subdivision is located in will determine
the light pole required.
Within the Alliant Energy electric district:
Residential subdivisions will be required to install "Town and Country" or equivalent equal -style light
poles as specified by Alliant Energy.
Within the Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative district:
Residential subdivisions will be required to install "Coach" or equivalent equal style light poles as
specified by Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative.
If the developer or owner would like to install an alternative type of light fixture different than that
listed above, a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission will be required as well as
approval by the city council.
ON THE 10'h day of January, 2007 at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson D i 1 s introduced, A RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY DESIGN
STANDARDS SECTION 12 REGARDING ROADWAY LIGHTING, and made a motion for
approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Petersen
Ayes: Demuth, Bartels, Wright, Bartels and Dils
Nays: None
Motion carried
WHEREUPON, Mayor Glenn R. Potter declared that the RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY
DESIGN STANDARDS SECTION 12 REGARDING ROADWAY LIGHTING, be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
PASSED, by the council on the 10`h day of January, 2007 and approved by the Mayor on the 10`s day
of January, 2007.

RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR THE HEARING AND LETTING FOR
THE ROBERT'S FERRY ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - PHASE 1 IN AND
FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin will set the date for the Hearing and Letting of the
Roberts Ferry Project in and for the City of Tiffin.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA: r..
The date for the Hearing and Letting of the aforementioned project is set for May
9, 2007 at 6:30 PM at the Tiffin City Hall. Sealed proposals for the construction of said
improvements will be received by the City Clerk at the City Hall, Tiffin, Iowa until 6:30
P.M. on May 9, 2007.
