THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. ot.3:Z
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER CHARGES;
AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 31;
AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBER 104, 185 AND
ALL OTHER CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1.
Amending Section 2 of Ordinance Number 31
Section 2 of Ordinance Number 31 of the City of Bel Aire,
Kansas is amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. Charges
( a) Residential Sewer Users. There is levied on each
sewerage system user having a residential sewer connection with the
sewerage system of the city, or otherwise discharging sewage,
industrial waste, or other liquids, either directly or indirectly
into the city sewerage system which ultimately enters the sewerage
system the sum of three dollars ($3.00) per month plus charges
levied by the City of Wichita.
(b) Commercial Sewer Users. There is levied on each sewerage
system user having a commercial sewer connection with the sewerage
system of the city, or otherwise discharging sewage, industrial
waste, or other liquids, either directly or indirectly into the
city sewerage system which ultimately enters the sewerage system a
monthly sum equal to the residential sewer connection equivalent.
The residential sewer connection equivalent for each commercial
sewer user shall be calculated by dividing the average monthly
water usage for said commercial sewer user for the months of
January, February, March and April by 10,000 gallons."
All other sections of Ordinance Number 31, not previously
amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 2.
Repeal
Ordinances Number 104 and 185 are hereby repealed. All other
ordinances or parts of other ordinances in conflict herewith are
repealed. However, any section of an existing ordinance not in
conflict herewith is not repealed and remains in full force and
effect.
Section 3.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication in the official city newspaper.
