A RESOLUTION OF THE CARSON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVE- MENTS ON THE SOUTHERN NEIGHBORHOOD STREETS WEST OF AVALON BLVD. ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DESIGNATING A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF BIDS, PROJECT NOS. 230, 257, 258 AND 293 COMBINED.
WHEREAS, the Agency has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of street improvements in Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Agency that such plans and specifications be approved and the work shown therein be done by the Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CARSON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and speci- Tications filed with the Agency Secretary and bearing the designation "Project Nos. 230, 257, 258 and 293 Redevelopment Project Area No. 2, Plans, Specificat- ions and Contract Documents for Street Improvement of Southern Neighborhood Streets and relating to the improvements as described in this resolution are hereby approved.
section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and improye- ments proposed to be done, hereinafter designated as Project Nos. 230, 257, 258 and 293 shall be performed as shown in said specifications.
section 3, Adoption of Wage Scale. It is hereby determined that the general prevailing rate of hourly rates in the locality in which such work js to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work; and also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft of workman or mechanic are in accordance with the most recent General Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relat- ions pursuant to the California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sect- ions 1700, 1773 and 1773.1.
section 4. Call for Bids. The Agency Secretary is hereby ordered to post a Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for said project in at least four public places in the City of Carson as designated by the Carson Municipal Code. Said Notice shall distinctly state the project to be done and refer to the specific- ations on file.
section 5. Receipt and Opening of Bids. The Carson Redevelopment Agency hereby fixes December 12, 1978, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. as the day and hour and the Agency Secretary's Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening bids; and said time and place shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered to, opened, examined and declared by the Agency Secretary at the City Hall, 701 E. Carson Street, Carson, California, and shall be publicly Opened.
The Executive Director shall report the results of such bidding to the Carson Redevelopment Agency at its next regular meeting after the opening of bids. No proposal or bid shall be considered by the Executive Director or by the Carson Redevelopment Agency unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by Taw and satisfactory to the Carson Redevelopment Agnecy.
