RESOLUTION NO. 2005-85
A RESOLUTION: NOMINATING APPOINTMENTS TO THE VIRGINIA MUNICIPAL
LEAGUE POLICY COMMITTEES
WHEREAS, the Virginia Municipal League is an organization devoted to supporting and
promoting the interests of local governments in Virginia; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Municipal League produces an annual preliminary legislative program
and policy statements to reflect the interests of communities throughout the Commonwealth and help
educate Federal and State officials regarding policy impacting Virginia towns, cities, and counties; and
WHEREAS, in July 2004, Town Council appointed Councilmembers Kathryn S. Hammler and
Susan B. Home to two-year terms to the Finance and General Laws Committees respectively; and
WHEREAS, VML has issued its annual call for nominations for the five 2006 Policy
Committees, including nominations for Environmental Quality, Finance, General Laws, Human
Development and Education, and Transportation; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
nominates Councilmember Kelly Burk to a one year appointment to the Virginia Municipal League
