HomeMy Public PortalAbout2005_05_10_r088The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED May 1 O, 2005 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-88 ADOPTED May 10, 2005 A RESOLUTION: MAKING MODIFICATIONS TO THE ADOPTED BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2006 WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, was adopted by the Town Council on April 26, 2005; and WHEREAS, the Council directed the Town Manager to reduce the budget by $234,000 in order to reduce the real estate tax rate to 21 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The Town Manager is hereby directed to reduce the General Fund budget as listed below: Life Insurance (throughout program budgets) Communications (Non-departmental) Computer Replacements (Information Technology) Police Officer Position Modification (Police Department) Motorcycle Replacement (Police Department) Planner to GIS Technician (Planning and Zoning) Transportation Planner - five month deferral (Planning and Zoning) Auto Technician - three month deferral (Engineering and Public Works) Refuse Collection (Engineering and Public Works) Plan Review Consulting (Engineering and Public Works) Parks and Recreation Contractual Services and Material & Supplies (Parks and Recreation) Wayfinding Signs (Economic Development) PASSED this l0th day of May 2005. $ 82 200 13 915 7 000 7 000 22 000 4 450 21 935 11 000 29 500 10 000 20 000 5,000 $234,000 ~-'~i~n C.
