APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO TYLER
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. - MUNIS DIVISION FOR SOFTWARE AND
SERVICES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INTEGRATED
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 870,708.00
WHEREAS, the Integrated Management System is an approved project in the FY 2005
and FY 2006 Budgets; and
WHEREAS, a request for proposals was prepared and duly advertised in the local
newspapers, the Town and state websites and mailed to prospective firms; and
WHEREAS, seven software and services firms submitted proposals for the work; and
WHEREAS, a committee selected Tyler Technologies, Inc - MUNIS Division as the
most qualified candidate to implement the Integrated Management System for a negotiated
amount of $ 870,708.00 for Phases 1 through 6; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been appropriated by Council in the FY 2005 and 2006
budgets to fund phases 1 through 5 of the contract and phase 6 is subject to appropriation of
funds in FY 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology recommends approval of this
information systems contract in the amount of $870,708.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
authorizes the Town Manager to execute a contract with Tyler Technologies-MUNIS Division in
the amount of $870,708.00 in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
