No application has been presented yet
Susan Lahey -President of the Board of Directors gave a brief overview of this project_
Total project estimate is 1.5 million, asking for $250,000 from CPC
They have established a separate non profit 501C3 corporation to deal with this
project.
A professional Fundraiser has been hired by the Corporation to do a feasibility study. This
should be completed by June. This will help broaden the outreach for funds. Looking for
grants as well as donations.
The Meeting House is of historical significance to the town.
Question of filing before the fundraising begins or after is to be looked at. Other
fundraising has been helped by CPC vote (gives them something to approach other
fundraisers with).
CPC would like to see consistency or assurance that applicants would proceed with
projects if CPA funds were provided.
They will return to CPC when study complete.

Better language as to exact agreement with these groups is needed as well as
satisfactory evidence to provide funding before our commitment. "Adequate"
