COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
]une 11, 2008
Chairman Elliott Carr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Members present were; Paul Hush, Paul Ruchinskas, Michael Lach, Roland Bassett Jr.
and Elizabeth Taylor
Members missing were; William Reyburn, Roy Robinson, and Jeanne Boehm,
1. Minutes of May 28, 2008 were presented with changes
Motion to accept Minutes of May 28, 2008 was made by Roland Bassett Jr.
Second by Paul Hush
VOTE 6-0-0.
2. Cape Rep Update
Paul Hush reported the contract is still with Janine Perry for review. Possibly back by the
next meeting.
3. Latham Update
Paul Ruchinskas said he has talked to Jackie Courchesne. There will be a contract at
sometime. He is now going to talk to Laura Shufelt
4. Housing Plan Discussion
Paul Ruchinskas led this discussion;
• CPC agreed to pay for this study for a Town Plan and to facilitate to get this done.
• This Plan must be sent to the Planning Board, Selectmen, Housing partnership and
then the State.
• Jillian Douglass thought this report has problems with the housing goals set for the
Town of Brewster, although after reviewing the most recent draft, Jillian was
comfortable with the goals
• After lengthy discussion of how to proceed it was decided to have a working
meeting between the Planning Board, Housing Partnership, Housing Authority and
CPC representatives before we continue. There was also discussion on whether this
plan should be circulated to all parties involved. No decision was made on this
issue.
• This group will include Jillian Douglass, Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Ruchinskas, Paul
Hush, Bill Reyburn, another member of Planning Board, and Peter Norton. A few
others may be added (total of about 10).
