COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
)une 25, 2008
Chairman Elliott Carr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Members present were; Paul Hush, Paul Ruchinskas, Jeanne Boehm, Roy Robinson,
and Elizabeth Taylor
Members missing were; William Reyburn, Michael Lach and Roland Bassett Jr.
1. Minutes of June 11, 2008 were presented.
Motion to accept Minutes of June 11, 2008 was made by Paul Ruchinskas
Second by Paul Hush
VOTE 6-0-0.
2. Cape Rep Update
Paul Hush presented the final agreement with Cape Rep. There were changes to items 3 + 4 from
original.
This has been approved by Cape Rep.
It is now subject to review by Brewster Town Counsel.
Cape Rep will be asked to keep baseline photos of the project and photo documentation of the
work as it progresses.
It would be nice to have a permanent sign on the building itself.
MOTION made by Paul Hush to accept Cape Rep contract as written (subject to Town Counsel and Town
Administration approval). Second by Roy Robinson. VOTE 6-0-0.
3. Possible Applications
A. First Parish- possibly by July 1, 2008
B. Millsites- ($100,000) possible
C. Historical Society-Blacksmith Shop /Apothecary move from present site to Museum site.
$150, 000 over 2 yea rs
D. Housing Partnership to fund evaluation of property next to Stony Brook School
4. Housing-
Conversations are continuing regarding Plan.
Regarding Latham project- talked to Laura Shufelt regarding funding for predevelopment
5. Next Meeting: July 9, 2008
Motion to adjourn by Elizabeth Taylor, Second by Jeanne Boehm. VOTE 6-0-0.
