APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR A DONATION OF
$2,400 TO ALLOW LEESBURG YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
COMMONWEALTH YOUTH CONFERENCE FOR LEADERSHIP
EFFECTIVENESS (CYCLE)
WHEREAS, Mr. Gary Martell of the Carter Braxton Real Estate Company has made a generous
donation of $2,400 to the Leesburg Police Department for the purpose of paying the costs associated with
four Leesburg youth to participate is the Commonwealth Youth Conference for Leadership Effectiveness
(CYCLE) program; and
WHEREAS, the program is designed to teach 13-15 year old students leadership skills in becoming
valuable contributing members of society; and
WHEREAS, the donation of funds will cover all the cost associated with the program; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council and the Leesburg community believes that investing in our
children's future benefits the entire community.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2006 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount
of $2,400 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2006.
SECTION II. The Leesburg Police Department budget is amended is the amount of $2,400.
