COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
August 27, 2008
Chairman Elliott Carr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Members present were; Jeanne Boehm, Roy Robinson, Roland Bassett Jr., Paul Ruchinskas,
and Elizabeth Taylor
Members missing were; Paul Hush, and Michael Lach.
1. Approval of Minutes of August 13, 2008
Motion by Elizabeth Taylor to approve as presented.
Second by Roland Bassett Jr.
VOTE 5-1-0
2. Latham Centers Inc.
Defer or Withdraw application. May come back in the future.
MOTION made by Roland Bassett Jr. to DENY this application as presented.
Second by Roy Robinson.
VOTE: 6-0-0
Stony Brook Mill Sites
Conceptually approved
Eliot will talk to Town Manager regarding Town Budget.
Conservation Commission is a formality
Most visual site in town.
MOTION made by Roland Bassett Jr. to fund $100,000 (Town $40,000.). Authorize Chairman to meet
with Town Administrator for balance.
Second by Elizabeth Taylor
VOTE: 6-0-0
Brewster Historica/Society
Met with DPRC and Conservation Commission.
Many questions still need to be answered.
Defer until next meeting (if not resolved, will withdraw without prejudice)
Tabled until September 10tH
3. Housing Draft Housing Buydown Plan
Review of language for Fall TM for the Housing Buydown Plan.
Need for an application procedure.
MOTION made by Roland Bassett Jr. to conceptually approve up to $300,000 but with a review language
for Fall Town Meeting for Housing Plan. Request a need for application procedure.
Second by Elizabeth Taylor.
