A RESOLUTION:
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF NINE POLICE VEHICLES
FOR $204,575.40 FROM SHEEHY FORD OF RICHMOND VIA THE
VIRGINIA STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Town Council realizes the importance of maintaining a modem and
efficient police fleet, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved in the FY06 Police budget the purchase of six
replacement vehicles and three new vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Sheehy Ford of Richmond, Virginia is the authorized dealer under the
Virginia State Contract for the purchase of Ford Crown Victoria police cars at a unit cost of
$22,730.60.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
that the Town Manager is authorized and directed to spend $204,575.40 from the Police
Department's FY 06 budget for the purchase of nine (9) Crown Victoria Police vehicles.
