COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
September 10, 2008
Informal Meeting
Chairman Elliott Carr called the meeting to order at 4:30 PM.
Members present were; Paul Hush, Jeanne Boehm, Roy Robinson, Roland Bassett Jr., Michael
Lach, Paul Ruchinskas,
and Elizabeth Taylor
Brewster Historica/Society
Clyde Mosher, Pat Bush and Dave Donnelly present
• Put Blacksmith Shop on Society property at Drummer Boy
• Cost about the same as previously presented
• Repair and restore out buildings at Spring Hill
• 2008-one project involves 2 years. To be completed by next summer.
• Question if taking down the complete building rebuilding qualifies for Historic.
Recommend and ratify at 9-24-09 meeting
MOTION by Roland Bassett Jr.,as a statement of intent, to APPROVED $80,000. for Part 1 of
the Brewster Historical Society application. Second by Elizabeth Taylor. VOTE 8-0-0.
MOTION by Roy Robinson, as a statement of intent, and subject to legal Historic clearance
and Conservation approval to APPROVE $55,000. for Part 2 of the Brewster Historical Society
application. Second by Paul Ruchinskas. VOTE 8-0-0.

• Town OK with shared costs

• Regarding the $300,000. transfer that was voted last meeting; out of 30% fund for "buy
down"
Purpose; it can be used for purchasing units or providing assistance.
Housing partnership Application; model-Chatham CPC; up to $60,000. each eligible
household, advertise/lottery, need someone to run the program, deed restriction for
affordability.
2 Applicants for $20,000. 920 Great Fields Road
o Seller has accepted a P+S
o Second applicant must find another affordable unit
