Bill Case seconded the motion. Motion carried. Approval of Minutes Doug Record moved the minutes from the January 10, 2017 Regular meeting be approved. Kevin Kelly seconded. Motion carried. Old Business a. Demolition Ordinance Review Sub-Committee Presentation – Terri Rademan gave an overview of the proposed Demolition Ordinance. Brian Wolford presented a few sections where changes may need to be made. Art Hernandez moved to set a special meeting to coordinate with the city council, city staff, and city attorney to work on these issues and complete the ordinance on February 21 at 6:00 p.m. Doug Record seconded the motion. Terri Rademan voted no. Motion carried. Demolition Applications a. 304 Fillmore –Jayme Abbott presented the application. Bill Case moved that there will be no adverse properties affected by the demolition and that the permit be approved by the Commission. Kevin Kelly seconded. Mary Schantz recused herself. Motion carried. b. 408 Lafayette – Jayme Abbott Presented the application. This is a city owned property was purchased through the Federal Stimulus and was recently added to the FEMA flood plain and flood insurance makes this property no longer financially feasible. Doug Record moved that there will be no adverse properties affected by the demolition and that the permit be approved by the Commission. Bill Case seconded. Motion carried. New Business a. Landmark Award, Call for Applications – Jayme Abbott presented information on the City of Jefferson’s Landmark Award and asked Commissioners to think about any properties who may qualify for this award. Applications are to be submitted by the property owner, but Commission members may invite property owners to apply. One application has been received. Application Deadline is February 28. b. Discussion of Gregory Stockard Distinguished Service Award – Terri Rademan asked the commission to entertain Henry Gensky as the Gregory Stockard Distinguished Service Award Recipient. Bill Case seconded. Motion carried Dates to Remember a. Special meeting, February 21, 2017 b. Next regular meeting March 14, 2017 Adjournment Bill Case moved the meeting adjourn. Terri Rademan seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
