HomeMy Public PortalAbout2005_09_06_r148The Town of Leesburg, Virginia PRESENTED September 6, 2005 and WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Department, local businesses and town residents have rallied to help an extended family of 27 evacuees from the Hurricane Katrina disaster who were residing at the Holiday Inn in Leesburg; and WHEREAS, Police Officer Robert Welch incurred certain charges on his personal credit card which the Town Council wishes to pay. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Town Manager is authorized and directed to spend $3,714 to pay Officer Welch's expense incurred on his credit card. The funding for this expenditure will be taken from the Town Manager's Contingency Fund /Clerk of Council RO5Katrinawelch PASSED this 6t~ day of September 2005.
