MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE LEESBURG AIRPORT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is vital to
the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, Boards and Commissions serve an indispensable role in providing recommendations
concerning Town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on
these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions.
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Leesburg Airport Commission.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
appoints William R. Morris to the Leesburg Airport Commission for a term expiring on June 30, 2008.
