A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING GUIDELINES FOR MAKING DONATIONS TO COMMUNITY
AGENCIES
WHEREAS, Community agencies that serve residents of the town are important assets to our
community; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has consistently appropriated and donated town funds to support
certain agencies; and
WHEREAS, it is important to analyze and determine appropriate funding levels based on sound
principles of budgeting to ensure the best possible uses of taxpayer funds; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council directed staff to propose guidelines that can be used by the Town
Council to make determinations on which agencies to fund and at what level; and
WHEREAS, staff has proposed a set of guidelines for approval by the Town Council.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The attached document entitled "Guidelines for Community Agency Donations" is
hereby approved by the Town Council.
