AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS lB AND lC
WHEREAS, lVl/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., the developer of Potomac Station Sections lB
and lC has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved
construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the contract for
public improvements and previously approved time extensions; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are
water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds fi.om the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the
amount of $5,281.10 for Section lB; and in the amount of $3,621.64 for Section lC, were provided
by the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to May 22, 2006 for Potomac Station Sections lB and lC.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds fi.om the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the
amounts of $5,281.10 and $3,621.64 are approved to guarantee the installation of public
improvements in Potomac Station Sections lB and lC.
