RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY FROM' WAYNE :F: STRATTON KNOWN AS 301

MARENGO Y ROAD, TIFFIN, JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN OFFER 'TO BUY
ON .BEHALF OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN.

WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Iowa, desires to acquire certain land, locally
known as 301 Marengo Road, Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, and legally -
described as follows:
That part of the SW /4 described as Auditor's
Parcel "D" in Survey Book 34, Page 80A, with the
exact legal description to be taken from the
Abstract of Title and subject to: the approval of the
Buyer's attorney; a
AND WHEREAS, Wayne F. Stratton, is the titleholder of the above-
described property and desires to sell it to the City of Tiffin;

AND WHEREAS, the City desires to approve? the purchase of said
property and: to authorize the Mayor to enter into an Offer'to Buy and to direct
the City Clerk to attest the Offer and issue a check as earnest money.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA,
that the Council approves of the purchase of 301 Marengo Road, Tiffin, Iowa;
and further that the Mayor is authorized to enter into an -Offer to Buy the said
property from Wayne F. Stratton and that the City Clerk shall attest to the
execution of the Offer and is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $500
as earnest money payable to. the Seller's attorney's trust account, Doug Olson.
ON THE 8th day of August 2007, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council,
Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Dils introduced a RESOLUTION
APPROVING OF THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM WAYNE F. STRATTON KNOWN AS 301 MARENGO ROAD,
TIFFIN, JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN OFFER TO BUY ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF TIFFIN, made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by
Councilperson Petersen

Motion carried.
WHEREUPON, the Mayor declared that the RESOLUTION APPROVING
OF' THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM WAYNE rF.
STRATTON KNOWN., AS' 3011; MARENGO ROAD, TIFFIN,
JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN OFFER TO BUY ON BEHALF OF THE" CITY OF
TIFFIN, be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
PASSED, by the Council on the 8th day of August 2008, and approved by
the Mayor on the 8f day of August 2008.
