A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
ENTERING INTO OF A CONTRACT FOR CODIFICATION OF CITY
ORDINANCES WITH IOWA CODIFICATION, INC., AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, has
determined is in the best interest bf the City and its citizens to
codify the existing ordinances and to codify future ordinances that
are passed by the Tiffin City Council;
SAND WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and discussed
various offers to codify the ordinances and determined that the
codification would best be completed by Iowa Codification, Inc.;
AND WHEREAS, the City Couricil wants to authorize a
contract with Iowa Codification, Inc., for their services .to create a
Tiffin Code of Ordinances and fto authorize the expenditure of
funds from the appropriate City account to pay for those services
according to the proposed contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE'CITY
COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA, that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute the contract, a copy of which is attached
.hereto, and further, to issue payment according to the contract for
the services of Iowa Codification, Inc.
ON THE, 17th day of October 2007, at a special meeting of the
Tiffin -City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Dils
introduced A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
ENTERING INTO OF A CONTRACT FOR CODIFICATION OF CITY
ORDINANCES WITH IOWA CODIFICATION, INC., AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT,
and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by
Councilperson Petersen

WHEREUPON, the Mayor declared that the RESOLUTION
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE ENTERING* INTO OF A
CONTRACT FOR CODIFICATION OF CITY ORDINANCES WITH
IOWA CODIFICATION, INC., AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENTS
ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT, be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
PASSED, by the Council on the 17th day of October 2007, and
approved by the Mayor on the 17thday of October 2007.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLEAR CREEK - AMANA SCHOOL
DISTRICT TO APPLY FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS GRANT FUNDS
TO BE USED IN THE CITY OF TIFFIN
WHEREAS, at the request of the Clear Creek — Amana School District Johnson County Council
of Governments has assisted in identifying possible Safe Routes to Schools grant projects in the
City of Tiffin; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has agreed to partner with the Clear Creek — Amana School
District in order to provide children safe routes to schools; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin recognizes and encourages the importance of healthy lifestyles for
children and promotes walking and riding bicycles to school.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN,
IOWA, THAT:
1. The proposal that the Clear Creek — Amana School District apply for Safe Routes to
Schools grant funds from the State of Iowa for sidewalk improvements in the City of
Tiffin is hereby approved.
2. Said sidewalk improvements are intended to provide safe routes to school and to
promote healthy and active lifestyles for children.
