ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, RELEASING THE
PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES AND APPROVING MAINTENANCE
GUARANTEES FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AT STRATFORD-
RYLAND HOPE PARKWAY; RECREATION CENTER; LAKE
FACILITY, AND LANDBAYS C AND D
WHEREAS, The Ryland Group, Inc., the developer of Stratford-Ryland Hope Parkway;
Recreation Center; Lake Facility, and Landbays C and D has completed the public improvements
in accordance with approved plans and town standards and these have been inspected and approved;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends accepting the
public improvements and approving maintenance guarantees for Stratford-Ryland Hope Parkway;
Recreation Center; Lake Facility, and Landbays C and D.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from the Travelers Casualty and Surety Company
of America in the amount of $147,867.24 for Hope Parkway; in the amount of $22,952.00 for the
Recreation Center; in the amount of $231,375.00 for the Lake Facility; in the amount of
$845,471.00 for Landbay C; and in the amount of $165,599.00 for Landbay D are released, and new
securities in a form approved by the Town Attorney for a maintenance guarantee in the amount of
$44,323.32 for Hope Parkway; in the amount of $1,147.60 for the Recreation Center; in the amount
of $20,715.30 for the Lake Facility; in the amount of $42,273.55 for Landbay C; and in the amount
of $30,875.00 for Landbay D are approved, and shall be in effect for a period of one year from this
date.

SECTION II. These releases are contingem upon delivery of a properly executed instrument
conveying umo the town all such improvements and easemems flee of any liens or charges.
