A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$8,600,000 FOR FY 2006 FUNDING OF THE WATER POLLUTION
CONTROL FACILITY UPGRADE AND EXPANSION
WHEREAS, the 2006-2010 Capital Improvements Program provides funding for upgrade and
expansion of the Town's Water Pollution Control Facility; and
WHEREAS the Town Council has approved a total of $35,400,000 for engineering and construction
contracts for the project, with $11,500,000 appropriated for FY 2006; and
WHEREAS, construction at the plant is on schedule and within contract requiring an additional
appropriation in the amount of $8,600,000 in FY 2006 to meet contractual obligations; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Public Hearing for this amendment to the FY 2006 budget was duly
advertised and heard, pursuant to Section 15.2-2504 and 15.2-2507 of the Code of Virginia.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Lees burg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The FY 2006 Budget is hereby amended and an appropriation is made in the amount of
$8,600,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2006.
SECTION II. The Utilities Fund capital budget is amended is the amount of $8,600,000.
