Own a Piece of Leesburg History: First Motorcycle Purchased
by the Leesburg Police Department Up For Auction
Leesburg, VA (August 1, 2012) –
Motorcycle enthusiasts, police
memorabilia collectors and
Leesburg history buffs have a rare
opportunity to own a piece of
Leesburg Police Department
history. The first motorcycle ever
purchased by the Leesburg Police
Department, a 1989 Harley
Davidson FLHTP, is for sale on the
Public Surplus auction website
(www.publicsurplus.com).
The motorcycle was taken out of service in August 2000. It was repainted at that time and
placed on display.
