A RESOLUTION:
APPROVING THE SETTLEMENT WITH BLUE SKY AVIATION TO
TERMINATE ITS LEASE WITH THE TOWN IN REGARDS TO ITS
OPERATIONS AT THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Blue Sky Aviation to terminate its lease with the Town of
Leesburg regarding its operations at the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, Town staff has met with the representatives of Blue Sky Aviation in regards to the
termination of the lease; and
WHEREAS, the costs owed by Blue Sky Aviation, to the Town, associated with the termination
of the lease include $56,263.68 (one year's rent for space occupied by Blue Sky Aviation), $500 (monthly
charge for 5 aircraft tie down spaces), and $4391.52 (FBO license fee to date); and
WHEREAS, this settlement has been reviewed and approved by the Town Attorney and the
Airport Director.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council hereby approves the settlement with Blue Sky Aviation for the
termination of its lease with the Town in regards to its operations at the Leesburg Executive Airport and
authorizes the Town Manager to sign the General Release.
