A RESOLUTION:
DONATING FUNDING FOR BUS SERVICE FOR THE MAY 21, 2006
LOUDOUN COUNTY VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD OPEN HOUSE
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:30 PM AND 5:30 PM.
WHEREAS, the Town transportation system is a community resource; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to donate funding for bus service for the May 21, 2006
Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad open house, between the hours of 12:30 PM and 5:30 PM; and
WHEREAS, the proposed bus service will provide transportation for the open house visitors from
the off-site parking area in the parking lot of the Safeway grocery store to the Loudoun County Volunteer
Rescue Squad facility on Catoctin Circle, and to the demonstrations proposed to take place at the
Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad is a non-profit organization that
provides for the safety of members of the Leesburg Community; and
WHEREAS, the bus service for the open house will cost approximately $450.00 ($45.00/hour x
five hours proposed, for two buses);
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Lees burg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council hereby donates the $450.00 in funding for bus service for the May 21,
2006 Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad open house, between the hours of 12:30 PM and 5:30
PM, to provide transportation for open house visitors from the off-site parking area at the Safeway
grocery store to the open house at the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad facility on Catoctin
Circle and to the demonstrations that are proposed to take place at the Leesburg Executive Airport.
SECTION II. The Town Council hereby directs the Town Manager to make available $450.00 to
fund the donation for the bus service for this event.
